As could be seen from the social media explosion, and the global trending of #WPC14 on Twitter, everyone had plenty to say about this year’s conference from the American capital.
Here are just a sample of HSOs highlights and key takeaways from a memorable few days at WPC:
* Cloud first – Microsoft championing the cloud at WPC is no big surprise, it’s their big bet. But the changes to billing methods and increased flexibility to incorporate other non-Windows applications will surely only increase Azure adoption.
* Big push on CRM – As part of his rousing presentation at the Monday keynote, COO Kevin Turner highlighted the functionality of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and how it can benefit businesses in an increasingly customer driven world.
* International business made easy – Let’s face it, everyone loved Steve Claydon’s Skype Translation demo. As well as a very innovative piece of technology, partners were given an insight into how much more simple and productive calls with international customers could become by removing the language barrier.
* ERP Partner of the Year – A culmination of countless successful Microsoft Dynamics AX projects; collecting the award for Global Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP Partner of the Year was a real highlight for us.
With multiple keynotes, sessions, meetings and parties, WPC was a very busy yet insightful few days for HSO, with the future market strategies for Microsoft and how they will effect Dynamics AX and HSO revealed. Roll on Orlando 2015!
