Microsoft Commercial Cloud Growth in Q2 2016

Amidst challenging conditions Microsoft has favorably closed Q2 2016; the tech-leader witnessed an annual run rate of $9.4 billion for their commercial cloud services.

Within the business management and productivity offerings, Microsoft Dynamics AX installations rose 20%, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM seats more than doubled from the previous year. 

The revenue of Microsoft Dynamics itself came in with an 11% boost, inside the companies Cloud segment of server products, cloud services and enterprise services, which grew by 5%.

Kevin Turner, Chief Operating Officer at Microsoft, had this to say about the results, “It was a strong holiday season for Microsoft highlighted by Surface and Xbox. Our commercial business executed well as our sales teams and partners helped customers realize the value of Microsoft's cloud technologies across Azure, Office 365 and CRM Online."
