The big news centred around the increasingly compatibility that Dynamics AX 2012 R3 will facilitate within the wider Microsoft family of products. To make Dynamics AX 2012 R3 accessible to businesses of all sizes, Microsoft’s ERP solution will be available both on-premise and on the Windows Azure cloud infrastructure platform. By hosting Dynamics AX 2012 R3 within Windows Azure, Microsoft will be able to provide closer monitoring to users ERP software, and ensure that it is always in a productive state of health.
Another development around the latest Dynamics AX solution from Convergence was the unveiling of a new application framework which has been devised for use with both Dynamics AX and Dynamics CRM. Incorporating the Windows 8 desktop, the application will provide touch screen functionality on mobile devices and be used on the shop floor to manage productivity and tasks in real-time. The application will empower the capabilities of ERP and CRM users in the Retail, Manufacturing andEquipment markets.
With Dynamics AX 2012 R3 set for release on the 1st of May, there is sure to be additional features that will empower the resource allocation and capacity utilisation planning for users to experience.
